King Single vs Queen: Which Bed Size Is Right for Your Child?

King single or queen — it’s one of the most common questions we get at Aesthetik Kids. Both sizes are the same length (203 cm), so the real difference comes down to width: a queen is 46 cm wider than a king single. That’s it. But in a child’s bedroom, those centimetres matter a lot.

Choose King Single If…
Your child is under 10, the room is on the smaller side, or you need space for a desk, storage, or two beds in a shared room. A king single gives kids plenty of room to stretch out without dominating the floor plan.

Your child is 10+, you’re buying a “last bed before adulthood,” or the room is large enough to handle it comfortably (aim for at least 3.5 × 4 m). A queen also works beautifully if you’re a parent who ends up lying down for the settling routine — no judgment.
